Techniques

Name: Orca Maneuver
Class: Supplementary
Description: Tanuki would throw forward at the enemy his huge sword but with transparent wires all over it.
Feint Attack: Tanuki would suddenly pull the strings to a side just before impact with the enemy and turn it to another trajectory or pull it slightly so it can overcome the block or turn it's direction to the dodge
Bite: Tanuki would pull a string from the sword and half of the sword would "break" and it would appear as the sword is going at the enemy with an open mouth. The user could make a quick bite but he can also catch the enemy with that technique and painfully squeeze both sharp edges to grind the enemy.

Class: Supplementary
Type: Ninjutsu
Description: The user would order a few commands with the help of ninjutsu.
Return: Using precise chakra control the blade would return back to the user.
Extend: The blade would extend 32' feet more.
Shorten: The blade would shorten itself slightly


Origins:

I think it's fair to say that with this kind of weapon, and the flexibility that comes with it, you may want your character to specialize in Kenjutsu. That way in the future you can expand its techniques further.

I don't see very many problems with it.
