PostSubject: What a relaxing morning- Oh, Ojisan!   What a relaxing morning- Oh, Ojisan! EmptySat Jul 17, 2010 1:56 pm

The morning was another of usual early waking up, getting ready for the day ahead of himself, and grabbing a book off of his shelve. Silently leaving a palace might seem easy at first, but try sneaking around someone with the Rinnegan. It wasn't that he was trying to be secretive to his Ojisan, he just wanted to avoid waking him up or annoying him. Making his way out of the Mizukage's palace and into the street, he stretched his arms and yawned softly. Heading towards the normal reading spot he had picked out.

The smell of the morning was in the air, the morning dew, the smell of fresh grass after raining. It was all so relaxing to Kyoichi, and it attracted him to it every day. Perhaps this was the only reason he got up this early in the morning. Simply to admire nature. Though, there was always time for his responsibilities at a later time, he sometimes slacked here and there because of an extended reading time.

Making his way up the hill and jumping into a tree that had plenty of leafs for shade, Kyoichi flipped open his book and sat cross legged, beginning to read. This had become quite a hobby for him, and as such, he had become a fast reader. Place that together with being a shinobi, and it certainty increased the time he went through books. Sometimes he went to the shinobi records and read up on old shinobi, just for something to do. It was certainly entertaining at best, Kyoichi could say.

His mind submersed into the book, his eyes quickly darting on and off every line and taking slow breaths, before turning the page again and continuing the cycle. It had started out to be a good day...

The Mizukage had been in his office over the night, scanning all of his requested documentations a week or more ahead of schedule. He always got things done before necessary, and was strangely never fazed by his lack of rest - then again, he was revered commonly as a God among men, but, he had a family, or at least a nephew that made everything seemingly human in his wake. Almost always was the Mizukage spending his days and nights in his Palace, but, his nephew always successfully got his uncle away from his usual schedule.

It was a Sunday morning, around this time Kyoichi-kohai was supposed to be training within the grounds of the palace; however, more often then not, his nephew was always distracted by his books, and the archive available to him in the Mizukage's Palace, of course... There were many documents that were restricted from all eyes other then the Mizukage himself, but, there were a lot more that weren't only restricted to the Mizukage of Kirigakure.

The Mizukage of course knew of his nephew's whereabouts, but, his nephew would never expect him to find him so early in the morning - he was often still resting, or deeply occupied by the most stressful records reserved for the Mizukage only. There was a hill not too far off from the Palace itself, but, far enough for Kyoichi to get the silence and peace he often years for. The Mizukage walked to his nephew's location, his all-seeing Rinnegan eyes were constantly scanning his surroundings, there was no way a single man could hide from the God of the Mist for too long.

The Mizukage appeared a few yards behind Kyoichi's relaxed position on a particularly shady tree. He stood tall as he glanced upward at his nephew, the shade of the tree stretched far enough to catch the Mizukage in its natural grasp; however, the darkness was not enough to shield the light-purple light beaming from the ripples in his eyes.

"Kyoichi-kohai, have you avoided eating before your training was to begin, once more? None of my attendants could find you in the Palace." The Mizukage spoke with his subtle, but deep tone of voice, whilst looking plainly at his nephew above.

The time he spent with his nose in the crook of a book was far beyond the time he applied himself to actual training, as no amount of training could really compare to the feeling he felt after reading a good book. Hearing the all too familiar, deep and sometimes shockingly calm voice in the back of his ears, he quickly closed his book and turned to his uncle. It had been awhile since they had seen each other during this time of day, as they were both respectively busy with their own type of business.

Hm, had he forgot to get something to eat before leaving? It happened, with Kyoichi, but it didn't happen often. Knowing that reading was not a suitable excuse for missing a meal, he fumbled with the book in his fingers, trying to think of a reply. Sliding down off of the tree, he looked up to his uncle and smiled softly, scratching the back of his head. " Yeah, must of slipped my mind, Ojisan." Knowing that lying was out of the picture, as lying to his uncle was as easy as hitting a target blindfolded, Kyoichi attempted to come up with something.

"I've been trying to come up with more bone jutsu, and sometimes, books can give me pretty good ideas.." He raised the book, as if he couldn't already see it, and his smile slowly faded and his hand dropped from the back of his head. Though it wasn't entirely wrong, it wasn't a reason to miss breakfast over. Moments not involving talk of training between his uncle were rare indeed, if he wasn't giving a lecture about philosophy and peace. He greatly respected his uncle, his position as Mizukage and his views and goals, but personal time was a slim to nothing with his one and only family. Not that he minded much. Being a kage didn't allow for much extra time.

"I guess I should probably go back and get to training.."

The Mizukage was given his nephew's excuses, though, all of them had been unnecessary. Still the two lacked enough trust for his nephew to feel totally comfortable talking to his Uncle truthfully. Afterall, the Mizukage never expected a child of his own, and never had he been too romantically involved with another woman that he had the idea of having a child. The Mizukage was raising Kyoichi Shingen because he was required to, it was his responsibility to bring up his younger brother's legacy. Itaru sacrificed his life for the Village's future well-being, his legacy is the only living thing that was an aspect of such a sacrifice; his wife was unable to raise Kyoichi as her own, she wasn't ready, and entrusted their son's future well-being to Matsuda Shingen.

"Sit down, Kyoichi-kohai." The Mizukage requested softly. He didn't want his nephew to feel rushed, and he knew that some sort of minor bonding was a good start. He was entrusted with this boy's future, and needed to focus even a little more attentively on him.

Kyoichi paused slightly at his uncles request, but soon followed it and sat down in the grass cross legged, thinking softly to himself. He slipped his book into his kunai pouch he had managed to put on before leaving the palace. Looking up at his uncle, he wondered if he would teach him something such as a new jutsu, or perhaps a new way to look at things. He pondered this in his mind, unsure of his intentions. "Ojisan, are you going to teach me something new?" He searched the white, ringed eyes for an answer, waiting patiently with a slightly interested expression.

The Mizukage, now rested, sat alongside his nephew silently. There was a pause, and finally, the Mizukage spoke, his eyes remained focused elsewhere, and not in his nephew's gaze. "...Kyoichi-kohai. Why is it that you must lie to me? Do you have yet to trust me?" The Mizukage asked. It was unlike the Mizukage, he was seemingly more human in his nephew's presence, and often in their presence alone. He knew that Kyoichi had lied, and assumed that it was strange for someone to lie about something that has such minor consequences.

The Mizukage waited for a response from his nephew, still, his glare didn't travel to his nephew's, but, he saw his nephew with his all seeing "Samsara Eye".

Kyoichi sat next to his uncle in awkward silence, unsure of what his uncle would say to him or the meaning of them sitting down together. When he asked him if he didn't trust his uncle, why he had lied to him, Kyoichi was slightly stunned. He looked away from his uncle, trying to find an answer to why he had actually lied, well, Kyoichi had only considered it to be half the truth. But, obviously his uncle was hurt in a way that his own nephew didn't trust him. "Ojisan... it's not that I don't trust you. Of course I trust you..."

"I just didn't want to disappoint you..."

The Mizukage wasn't surprised by his nephew's response. It made enough sense, and the Mizukage wouldn't have to focus intently on his minor lie, though, every lie has consequences. "Very well." The Mizukage paused. He stood up quietly, and walked a few feet away from his nephew, shortly following, he turned his whole figure in his nephew's direction. "...Come, Kyoichi-kohai. Show me what you've been practicing." The Mizukage ordered in his deep, but, subtle tone of voice. It was strikingly powerful, his eyes added on to his intensity, though, the intensity the Mizukage had was unique - controlled.

This was an evaluation, it would not only demonstrate Kyoichi-kohai's fighting skills, but, his dedication to his Uncle; knowledge that was strangely valuable to the Mizukage's enigma.

Kyoichi looked back up to his uncle after a few seconds, as he seemed to accept the answer, convinced that it was logical and honest sounding enough. When asked to demonstrate the things he had been training on, Kyoichi thought back to his jutsu and the various method of bone taijutsu he had formed. It was more Nintaijutsu, but the category wasn't so much as important to Kyo as the actual jutsu itself. Pondering for a bit, he thought of a jutsu that he could show his uncle without having to attack him. After coming up with such a jutsu, he formed a few seals and pushed out his finger bones, sharpening them and locking the joints, while using a calcium deposit and chakra to instantly regrow them. He made four bone kunai in the process and to demonstrate their power, he launched them into the nearby tree. With the enhanced sharpening, they cut deeply into the bark but the bone kunai cracked in the process.

Kyoichi looked back at his uncle, wondering if he should continue or if he was satisfied.

They are about 6" to 10", depending on the finger. They are as strong as normal bones, and can be broken with someone punching or kicking them, though, this can be seen as an advantage if Kyoichi stabs someone with the dagger and the bone shatters inside of the wound.

The Mizukage was impressed by his nephew's performance. It was unique... He certainly had some Kaguya lineage in his blood, for his Kekkei Genkai was clear. Though, the Mizukage was a stern entity, he expressed no amusement, or satisfaction. In a very simple tone, perhaps plainly, the Mizukage spoke. "...Interesting, Kyoichi-kohai. I see quite a lot of improvement." The Mizukage spoke in his usual tone of voice, so, it wouldn't be insulting to his nephew. His arms were folded behind his back, as he simply observed the upbringing of the technique - it was perhaps simple enough for someone with Shikotsumyaku. He didn't further his nephew's demonstration, perhaps a flaw in his parenting.

Shortly after some observation, the Mizukage turned around, now, his back turned to his nephew. He turned his head, and spoke softly in a deeper tone of voice. "Kyoichi-kohai... I advise you return to the dining table as soon as you can. Your food is getting cold." The Mizukage spoke, and then, he disappeared. Just like that, the Mizukage was gone.
